Presenter: Michelle Jorgensen, M.D., Medical Director Eating Disorders Unit and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, MeritCare, Fargo, ND

  • Discuss DSM IV criteria and alternative FAST criteria for bipolar disorder in children
  • Identify difficulties surrounding diagnosing pediatric bipolar disorder and documentation strategies to do so
  • Describe medications and adjuctive therapies shown to be helpful in treatment of pediatric bipolar disorder
